Leadership - River Valley Church (2024)

Pastors Rob & Becca founded River Valley Church in an elementary school in 1995. It has since grown into a thriving church with nearly 10,000 in attendance across ten U.S. campuses and one international campus (Mbekelweni, eSwatini) with plans for further expansion in the future.

Through Pastor Rob’s unique and practical preaching style, vision casting and gifts of leadership, he encourages people to live out River Valley’s mission of cultivating an authentic, life-changing relationship with Jesus Christ. He is the author of the books “Change Before You Have To,” “Front Row Leadership,” “Fix It,” “Speed of Unity,” and his latest release, “Keep the Change.”

In addition to leading River Valley, he also serves on several organizational boards including the Lead Team of the Association of Related Churches (ARC), and speaks at events and conferences around the world.

Pastor Becca worked for the first 10 years of the church as an accountant to support their family before being called into full-time ministry herself! Pastor Becca now leads the women’s ministry at River Valley and also is the creator of our women’s conference, Sparkle, where thousands of women gather every year to lift up the name of Jesus!

Pastors Rob & Becca have two sons and daughters-in-law and a grandson, Beckham.

Fix It: Whose Problem IsIt

Pastor Rob Ketterling

Even before the smoke starts to rise, every leader sees the signals that something isn’t right. Your wide variety of problems may vary in severity, scope, and timing, but they have one thing in common: People are looking to you to fix them all! But before you go running for the fire extinguisher, the duct tape, or to schedule an emergency meeting of your board of elders, see what Pastor Rob Ketterling has to say. It may surprise you to discover that the problem isn’t yours to fix. With wisdom acquired through personal experience and no shortage of trial and error (which he shares with brutal honesty and a large dose of humor), Ketterling will verify that some problems are indeed yours to handle. Other times, however, it’s best to delegate the matter to “them” (your staff, lay leaders, volunteers, or whomever), or you risk denying others valuable opportunities to learn and grow. And sometimes, nothing less than a “big boom” from God will resolve a dilemma. The key is to learn which route to take in every situation.
